Key points griffbereitMINI-Group:

  • Type of event: Parent-child activities in the respective *family languages
  • Age of children: from unborn to one year old
  • Number of participants: up to 8 *parents/*families per group
  • Rotation: regular 1 x per week (can also take place more frequently if there is a need among the *families) for 90 min.
  • Duration: until completion of the first year of life
  • Leadership: 2 group facilitators (ideally a pedagogical specialist and a parent facilitator; if not possible otherwise, also two parent facilitators), but at least 1 person in the role of group facilitator.


Role of group facilitators:

It is important to pay attention to the linguistic competence of the parent guides. In the case of a double staffing, one of the two parent guides can be monolingual German if the second guide is multilingual and has a good command of German as a second language. The parent guides thus also ensure the consistent and reliable use of multilingualism in the group.

Multilingualism, diversity-oriented cooperation and open cooperation are qualities that the group facilitators exemplify - also towards the *parents/*families. The impulses that are given by the parent guides through the organisation of the griffbereitMINI-groups are set with playful activities, songs and suggestions, give parents/families new ideas and security for engaging with their children and strengthening the relationship in the family.

 

Qualification of group facilitators:
The parent guides are prepared for their activities before the start of the programme (concept, goals and contents of the programme). griffbereitMINI-Programme[1]). To ensure a high quality in the implementation of the griffbereitMINI-In order to ensure the success of the group, group facilitators should have access to ongoing training.

Organisation of group facilitators:
In addition to further training, regular supervision and counselling of the group facilitators is necessary for exchange, reflection, evaluation and preparation and follow-up of the group work. The guidance and programme-accompanying qualification is adapted to the needs of the group facilitators. Depending on the previous professional qualifications of the pedagogical staff, they do not necessarily have to take part in all parts of the training.
