The Griffbereit materials at a glance

The complete package consists of:

  • Griffbereit-Parenting materials: 64 building blocks (in the form of age- and developmentally appropriate activities and play suggestions) for the work of parents/families in the various family languages with the children in the group and at home. The parent materials are available in Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Dari, German, English, Farsi, French, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Croatian, Kurdish, Dutch, Pashto, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Chechen, Turkish and Vietnamese.
  • Handbook for parent guides: The manual for the Griffbereit-The training course for parent guides serves as a basis for the preparation and introduction to the work with the Griffbereit-programme. It informs about the practical implementation, explains the role of the parent guides, provides materials with implementation conditions and for public relations work, etc. It shows examples of how to design a parent guide. It shows examples of how to design a Griffbereit-and gives advice on reflection and thematic parents' evenings in the respective institutions.
  • Supplementary materials for the targeted planning and preparation of multilingual work in the Griffbereit-Group.

The materials are designed for a period of 64 weeks, whereby modules 1-31 are aimed more at younger children up to the age of approx. two years and modules 32-64 are aimed more at children from the age of two years. The materials are constantly being further developed and additional translations are added according to developments in migration society and diversity.

Despite thematic suggestions, the programme is open and flexible. The implementation is compatible with different pedagogical concepts and everyday integrated language education..
